Fuck Yeah, Shabazz Palaces

Experimental & jolly dope hip-hop band Shabazz Palaces played to a packed Start The Bus last night. Awesome evening in general, spent the first half of it baby sitting then rocked off down STB at midnight to catch me some live hip-hop. 

The two guys who make up Shabazz Palaces were frisking awesome. Played well over an hour to a roomful of people most of whom were dancing their faces off. As people tend to do after midnight on a Friday night. 

So girl came up to & told me she thought she recognised me. “It’s something to do with bikes I think” she slurred. I was wearing my “No Gears” t-shirt so I suspect she recognised me from earlier in the evening, probably stood in a different place.

The only other notable thing that evening was that I visited the toilet. I almost never do that. Cant remember doing it during Simple Things even & that was 13 hours long.

Last week wasn’t good as regarded gigs. Was too fucked on Monday after Simple Things to get to Spraynard & Caves (haven’t seen Caves once this year yet - not good enough) then was put off by the rain on Weds so didn’t get to Cobra Skulls. So I’m gonna try harder from now.
